What my Most successful clients have in common
As the year comes to an end, I see the same pattern repeat itself.
January fills up with promises of quick fixes, free trials, covered programs, and “just try this one thing” solutions. Many women sign up already knowing, deep down, that these approaches haven’t worked for them before.
Because they’ve been here already.
More than once.
Calorie counting. Points. Detoxes. Challenges. Reset after reset.
And yet, the hope is still there that this time will be different.
After more than five years working exclusively with women in peri- and post-menopause, I can tell you this with confidence:
The women who get results don’t do anything magical.
But they do share some important things in common.
They Stop Chasing “Free” and Start Valuing Change
I’m often asked whether nutrition support is covered by insurance. It’s a fair question — benefits matter.
But here’s what I’ve observed over time:
When support feels passive or “free,” it’s often treated that way.
Plans are followed for a week.
Expectations are unrealistic.
Progress feels slow.
Motivation dips.
And then… it’s on to the next thing.
This isn’t a personal flaw, it’s human nature.
Real change requires participation, patience, and a willingness to stay when it feels uncomfortable. My most successful clients understand that investing in themselves: whether with time, energy, or money, creates commitment.
They’re no longer looking for something to try.
They’re looking for something to commit to.
They Understand the Hidden Cost of Convenience
Let’s talk about something very real.
A coffee and pastry on the way to work.
Takeout one more night because everyone’s tired.
Financially, these choices add up quickly.
Metabolically, they matter even more.
Highly refined carbs and sugar first thing in the morning can send blood sugar soaring — followed by a crash that leaves you tired, irritable, and reaching for another snack by mid-morning.
Up.
Down.
Repeat.
My most successful clients don’t aim for perfection.
They aim for better.
Simple, nourishing breakfasts at home.
More stable energy.
Fewer cravings.
Better workouts.
Clearer thinking.
These small shifts don’t feel dramatic — but over time, they change everything.
They Stop Looking for Magic
Here’s something I say often:
Most women don’t need more information.
They need help applying what they already know — consistently.
The women who thrive in midlife are not relying on:
miracle supplements
extreme restriction
doing everything “right” all the time
They understand that progress comes from repeatable habits, not intensity.
They show up even when motivation is low.
They adjust instead of quitting.
They trust the process.
They Play the Long Game
When I look at my most successful clients, this is what I see:
Janine, now 55, is the strongest and fittest she’s ever been! not because she trained harder, but because she stayed consistent.
Myra, in her 60s, improved her bone density by focusing on strength, nutrition, and patience.
Susan loves hosting and traveling, and now does so without constant worrying about weight gain.
None of these women chased perfection.
They showed up. Repeated small actions. And stayed the course.
That’s it.
They Are Open — Even When It’s Uncomfortable
Not everyone is ready for change.
And that’s okay.
But the women who get results are open to learning, willing to challenge old patterns, and honest with themselves when something isn’t working.
They don’t outsource responsibility — they take ownership, with support.
Those are the women I work best with.
A Different Way to Start the New Year
If you’re reading this at the end of the year, here’s my invitation to you:
Instead of asking,
“What’s free?” or “What’s quick?”
Try asking,
“What am I willing to do consistently so I can feel better in my body?”
Because the answer to that question changes everything.
